Galdrilene’s Dragonriders are back and so are the Shadow Riders. The conflict heats up in this second book of the Dragon’s Call series by A.D. Trosper. The scope of the story blossoms from just the first eight riders to a brewing world war, as the riders must go to back to their homes to convince the nations that not all dragons are black and magic does not cause insanity. Game of Thrones in its scope, Tears of War shows us more about the world the riders must deal with and the kind of enemies they have. I cringe at the power of the Shadow Riders and found myself seriously worried for a few of my favorite characters. With a name like Tears of War, you know bad things are going to happen and if your eyes are dry at the end, you must have skipped a few chapters. A great read, and I eagerly look forward to the next one in the series.
If you ever wanted to find a site that extensively reviews audiobooks of all genres, AudiobookReviewer.com is the place. Their library of reviews is extensive. I was so tickled to find them.
The folks at Audiobook Reviewer were kind enough to review Quest of the Dreamwalker and here’s a bit of what they had to say:
Stacy Bennett, the author has skillfully created a world so mystical yet realistic that one cannot stop listening to this epic novel. It has everything – passion, mystery, action, evil, fighting, and so much more! … Zachary Johnson, narrator, performs this epic novel as if he were born to do so. He owns the book with his talent to step into the story and wear each character as if it was his true identity…

It’s been a good year in terms of books for me. And other things, too. So for the holidays, I decided I should giveaway some holiday spirit. I’m offering a chance to win signed softcover copies of my two titles over on Goodreads. Just click below to enter. It’s as easy as pie…
Pie, yummmm. Now, I want pie or perhaps some Christmas cookies.
The first title is Son of Anubis, a paranormal/urban fantasy novella, combining my love of dogs, werewolf lore and Egyptian mythology.
When TSA Officer Rebecca Campbell and her partner Jake expose a smuggling operation, they never expected the hired muscle to come with tails, fur and pointed teeth. But now werewolves are loose in Newark and Jake has to find a way to save Becca before she ends up dead – or worse.
The second title is my recently released epic fantasy, Quest of the Dreamwalker. Swords, sorcery, and enchanted beasts embellish one woman’s journey of self discovery.
Everything Cara thought she knew about herself is a lie. Now, fleeing a vengeful father into a world she’s only dreamed of, Cara must uncover the secret in her dreams and claim the heritage of her magical blood–before her father claims her as his last sacrifice.
Good luck with the giveaway and I will be posting some Christmas cookie recipes later in December if anyone’s interested. Happy holidays, all!
